Q&A
I run because: I am not as good at any other sport. I think I can hold my own in every other sport (even ping-pong now...some people think I am terrible at that sport) but running is where I excel.
My running hero is: Steve Prefontaine because he was so gutsy and spoke his mind. Also, Ryan Hall because I think he is America's best chance for a gold in Beijing in distance running. Hope this doesn't offend others . GO USA!
The place in the world I would most like to visit is: Ireland. It would be awesome to run there.
The person in the world I would most like to go out to dinner with is: Hmm...tough question. I guess it would be a group of people. My teammates. Those guys are awesome and we always have fun. I can't think of any one famous person in particular. I do know, however, that I would not under any circumstances, have dinner with Dr. Phil.
My favorite TV shows are: That 70s show, According to Jim, Two and a Half Men, any sports shows on ESPN, old school Nickelodeon shows
My ambitions are: To perform well in my final high school track season with getting the state record for the 3200 (8:47 or better) and to continue to have success at the college level. I'd love to be an NCAA Cross Country champion and take some on the track also. Running post-collegiately would be great, too.
If you want to be my friend you’ll have to put up with: My schedule of traveling for races and my addiction to running. It takes a lot of time, but it is worth it. You'll also have to put up with my friends who are pretty crazy but great teammates and friends.
I couldn’t live without: Air, food, water, shelter (but seriously): My family, friends, and running shoes. Also, I love to listen to music so I guess I couldn't live without that either.
The best gift I ever got was: Honestly, it was the gift of running. I thank God for giving me this talent and I want to use it to honor him.
If I am not running, I am: Hanging out with my awesome girlfriend or friends or playing another sport, but being careful while doing so. I might also be drumming since I like to do that, too. Another place to find me is at the YMCA pumpin' some iron.
