“Based on the training I had done I was confident I could win. She’s (Genzebe Dibaba) a very strong athlete, but again based on my training I did think I would be able to beat her, but she fought me very hard.
On running in Boston: “Because the people from my country are in the crowd it was giving me a lot of moral support and encouragement.”

“I love racing here, so I had a lot of fun. In training we’ve been doing a little bit more 1,500 oriented stuff, because I’m planning to do that indoors. Before the race I was like, ‘does it really matter that we haven’t really done anything at 3K pace?’ I think it helped at the end of the race. Thirty feels a lot more comfortable than 35 on the legs. It feels nice to really let go and go after it.”
